Raudhah Nazran Empowering Youth Through Social Enterprise: The Accelerate Global Story

Raudhah Nazran a Malaysian government scholar with honours in Law from the United Kingdom has emerged as a formidable force in the realm of social entrepreneurship dedicated to tackling the pressing issue of global youth unemployment. Her journey is a testament to the power of combining legal acumen with a passion for social change culminating in the founding and leadership of Accelerate Global. This social enterprise is more than just a business it's a mission to equip young people with the hands on skills and emotional resilience necessary to thrive in an evolving job market or to create their own enterprises.

Nazran's dedication to social impact began during her time in the UK where she served as the President and Team Leader of a UK based social enterprise. Her impactful tenure saw her manage over 100 members macro managing five social enterprises and becoming the first Asian Muslim female appointed to the role. She was also the first to win the Enactus President and Team Leader of the Year award in the UK after leading her team to be one of the top three Enactus Social Enterprises in the country. This early success set the stage for her future work. Her efforts did not go unnoticed leading to an invitation by Lord Michael Hastings to the UK parliament to discuss issues surrounding youth unemployment and an honouring with the International Student of the Year Award in 2018. She also addressed the University of Essex United Nations Human Rights Conference on child's rights to education highlighting her broad commitment to fundamental rights and education.

Upon returning to Malaysia Raudhah launched Accelerate Global. The enterprise focuses on delivering programs and masterclasses including the two week Entrepreneurship Boot Camp and the five-day Career Boot Camp. These programs go beyond technical training emphasising crucial soft skills such as confidence emotional resilience and grit. Importantly Nazran's approach also stresses ethical concerns and social and environmental aspects aiming to cultivate a responsible and holistic generation of leaders. The impact has been significant with Accelerate Global's programs having directly impacted thousands of youth participants many of whom have gone on to find employment or become entrepreneurs themselves. Nazran and her team are now working on closing the digital gap between youths in rural and urban communities and have a bold vision of a 1 to 1 model where paying subscribers provide equal access to education for one million underprivileged youth by 2026.

Raudhah Nazran's continuous dedication and impactful work have earned her significant recognition. She was listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List for 2022 and recognised by Tatler Asia as a Gen. T Honouree Top 400 Asian Young Leaders in 2020. She also holds a seat on the advisory board of Curriculum Development of the Polytechnic and College Community Malaysia the youngest ever appointed a testament to her expertise and influence on educational policy.
